4 -
Can I broadcast in 16:9 and HD?
16:9 aspect ratio transmissions are possible. Regarding HD transmissions, they are also possible with a suitable upload speed and video encoding hardware.
5 -
What is the delay on the transmission?
The YouOn® CDN, our global video distribution network that distributes the YouOn® Live video signal, guarantees a minimum delay. It is virtually impossible for a delay-free transmission due to the number of processes that take place during the broadcast. The delay can vary and it is the sum of:
. the time it takes the image to reach the computer/encoding hardware from the camera;
. the time it takes to encode the signal;
. the time it takes for the transmission of the signal to our Datacenter (depending on the Internet connection speed);
. final user's Internet connection;
Nevertheless, this delay may only amount to a few seconds and the important thing is to assure that the transmission doesn't stop.6 -
What is the minimum connection speed required at the place of the event?
A minimum upload connection of 1mbps is recommended. We have made several transmissions with 500kbps speeds, however. In these cases, if the process is properly optimized it is possible to assure good image quality.
7 -
